Perspective
A product can be difficult to identify even when its page looks complete. A photograph can be beautiful while leaving out the detail someone needs. A report can be precise and still compare things that were measured differently.
What appears online is the visible end of a longer chain. Real things and human work become descriptions, images, data, interfaces and numbers. Along the way, details are selected, simplified or lost. Those choices shape what people can understand and what they can decide.
WEITLICHT is an independent project for looking at that chain with a little more distance and a little more care.
A way of looking
Questions worth asking
- What do we know from direct observation, and what have we only inferred?
- Where do the image, the description, the data and the underlying reality disagree?
- What would show that a proposed change actually helped?

Notes from a wider view
When there is a concrete observation worth exploring, this space will hold a considered note about it. Sources, uncertainty and point of view should remain visible. The project will develop at the pace of the work behind it.
The starting point is simple: look beyond the polished surface, and stay close to what can be known.
